New figures show that Footfall on our High Street has bounced back with the waterside quarter leading the way
According to the Town Manager’s report, footfall on Maidenhead high-street has recovered and risen this year, with the rejuvenated waterside quarter leading the way.
Latest figures have shown that Maidenhead’s town centre is bouncing back after a tough post-covid period. With a clear rise in the town’s customership over the year, the outlook for our town’s shops and businesses is looking positive. Much of this can be attributed to the successful rejuvenation of the waterside quarter, with a flurry of new local businesses and outlets thriving including Bakedd, F45, and Prest amongst others.
St Mary’s Councillor Jack Douglas said of the Waterside quarters’ success
“It is fantastic to see the statistics showing more and more people at the Waterside Quarter, home of Bombay Story, recently opened Cocoba among many others – soon to be joined by Presto!”
Joshua Reynolds MP told us
“I am absolutely delighted, and not at all suprised, to learn about our town’s renewed commercial success. One thing in particular that makes me proud is just how many local businesses have led the way.
“And with the temporary car park opening on Broadway, alongside both Stanley Black & Decker as well as Johnson & Johnson moving into the heart of our town in Tempo, I have a feeling we’ll have a strong winter and an even better 2025”.
