Speaking to residents in Cox Green, the state of our highways and road safety is a large concern. With more cars on the roads, and upcoming developments, we think that there should be some more pedestrian crossings in Cox Green so that residents can safely get around and enjoy our area.
We have been and are continuing to work hard to secure Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 money to get new road crossings in Cox Green, with the money coming from developers. This means that there is a very real possibility to get these made.
Below are the options we feel would benefit residents the most.

As your local councillors, we have already secured a refresh for Ockwells Park and made other local improvements such as the resurfacing of Thrift Lane connecting Cox Gren to Holyport. These, along with the new developments will mean we would really like to support increased active travel in our area and that these new crossing will help us keep Cox Green safer.
We’d like to hear from you about which potential crossings to prioritise. Your response will help us further make the case for these new crossing points.
