Save Our Libraries

The cuts to our libraries in the Borough are continuing with the threatened closure of Boyn Grove Library, Datchet Library, Old Windsor Library and Sunningdale Library along with a cut in hours at Dedworth Library.

This is on top of the cuts in hours open this year at Cookham and Cox Green and the closure of Eton Library. So please do join our campaign to

Stop the closure of our libraries and the cuts to opening hours.

Boyn Grove Library is one of those libraries under threat of closure

Libraries offer a wide range of activities for all ages: book clubs, toddler tales and rhymes, coffee mornings and talks, gardening clubs and holiday crafts to name but a few.

Libraries are about so much more than just lending books.

Our libraries have worked hard to build links with local primary schools, celebrating the children’s work in library displays and setting up an ongoing reading challenge to encourage youngsters to read. Our libraries offer friendship and conversation to anyone who walks through its door.

For many they are a vital lifeline.
